Need to get data from your forums into a spreadsheet? We'll walk you through how to export your ideas, voters, comments, and other activity.
Export ideas and voters
When viewing a list of ideas, you can use filters and search to find the ideas you're interested in. Once you have narrowed down your list of ideas, you can export data for the ideas in that list. You can export ideas across some or all forums and in combination with other filters.
- Navigate to the idea grid by clicking the lightbulb in the left-hand menu.
- Click "All open ideas", choose your desired forum, or choose your desired saved view.
- Use the filters and search bar to find the ideas you want to export. For more details on the search and filter functions, check out this article.
- Click the export button and select "Export current dataset".
4. You'll have the option to use the Regular Export or the Analysis Export.
Export activity for a set of ideas
- Navigate to the idea grid by clicking the lightbulb in the left-hand menu.
- Click "All open ideas", choose your desired forum,or choose your desired saved view.
- Use the filters and search bar to find the ideas you want to export. For more details on the search and filter functions, check out this article.
- Click the "Related Activity & Moderation" tab.
- Select the activity types you would like to include on the left, then click the "Export Activity" button in the bottom-left corner.
Export Activity for a Single Idea
- You can export activity on a single idea, this includes comments and requests.
- Click the idea title to open the idea
- Scroll down to the activity feed
- You will see the option to filter and then export the activity
Exporting all data
If you wish to export ideas, comments, and users for your entire instance:- Click your avatar or initials icon in the bottom left corner
- Click "General Settings"
- Find "Export data" at the bottom of the page
- Select your date range
- Click "Export"
Common Questions
Q: Why haven't I received the export email?A: The exports will be sent from no-reply@yoursubdomain.uservoice.com. Check your spam folder or any filters. It's possible the email got flagged since it does come from a no-reply@.
