Common Issues & Solutions
You can find integration logs to help with most issues in the UserVoice Admin Console → Settings → Integrations → Integration Logs (at the very bottom of the page).
Problem | Solution |
"Connector configuration not found." | The Jira user that authenticated no longer exists, or the authentication expired. Remove and configure the integration with a current Jira user. Preferably a third-party integrations user (reserved for third-party integrations). |
"Azure DevOps returned an error when creating new work item." | Check the integration logs in UserVoice → Settings → Integrations → (Scroll down) Integration Logs. This will help determine the error, e.g. Error: Required. -- This means the ADO item requires a field that we do not populate. You will either need to create the item in ADO first and then link, or make the field optional. |
All new work items are attributed to the user that configured the integration. | This is expected and cannot be changed. All actions are performed as that user. It's recommended that you use a profile that's reserved for third-party integrations. |
"No authorized Azure DevOps account found." |
Kill all ADO sessions you have running and then navigate to UserVoice and configure the integration. Sign in to the one you'd like to connect. You can only connect one ADO instance. Make sure you have all necessary permissions. The profile must have a Visual Studio subscription, be a project Admin, and cannot have a Stakeholder license. |
Linked work items return "404". |
Check to see if your ADO URL or configuration changed. If so, you will need to update UserVoice. Also make sure you do not have required fields that UserVoice cannot populate. Make those optional, or only link to existing items. |
Internal error/400 |
The authorized user may not have necessary access or the access token expired and was unable to refresh. Remove the integration from within UserVoice, and link it again. You will not lose previously created links to items. |
