Common Issues & Solutions
You can find integration logs to help with most issues in the UserVoice Admin Console → Settings → Integrations → Integration Logs (at the very bottom of the page).
|Unauthorized error/token_revoked||The Slack profile used no no longer has permission. Reconfigure the integration with an active profile (preferably one that's reserved for third-party integrations so that this error doesn't occur in the future).|
|Error: Apologies, but UserVoice can’t be installed||The Slack user/profile installing the app from the UV Admin console needs to have Owner permissions on the Slack instance. We recommend creating a Slack user that has necessary permissions that you can reserve for all third-party integrations.|
|Unable to create a new idea from Slack||This is expected if the user is not a Contributor licensed user in UserVoice. All Slack users can submit feedback and link to existing ideas, but you must be a licensed user in UserVoice to create new ideas.|
|Unable to add Voters to ideas||Try closing and reopening Slack to refresh this capability.|
|Unable to send feedback from Slack to UserVoice after switching to the new Slack App Integration||
If the old Slack app is not removed from the Slack instance, sometimes the old shortcut to Send to UserVoice will still be available but not work properly. The old Slack app is our orange logo with a white background, the new Slack app is our white logo with an orange background. To delete the old one, a Slack Admin will need to:
There has been an update made to the new Slack integration to fix this issue. Please remove and re-integrate the Slack App to resolve the issue.
|Slack notifications are not appearing||
It will take up to 5 minutes for Slack notifications to appear after an action has been made.
