UserVoice gives you two ways to work with your feedback data using AI. Both can search, summarize, and update your ideas, accounts, and users, and both follow each user's permissions. The main difference is where you use them.

When to Use Which
Choose the UserVoice agent if you want to:
- Get quick answers right next to your ideas grid
- Ask about the specific ideas you've selected
- Get started with no setup
Choose UserVoice MCP if you want to:
- Work in the AI tool your team already uses
- Combine UserVoice feedback with data from your other tools, such as your CRM or Slack
- Build UserVoice into your existing AI workflows
You can also use both. Each one has its own setting.
Availability and Access
The UserVoice agent and UserVoice MCP are included in UserVoice's new plans. An account owner turns on each one in Settings → Integrations → AI Assistants. Contributors can connect through MCP with read-only access. They can search and ask questions about your feedback, but they can't create ideas, add feedback, or make changes. The UserVoice agent is available to admins only.
