Bring the power of UserVoice even closer to where your internal team communication is already happening. We’ve made it easier than ever to provide visibility and awareness to colleagues about product feedback captured in UserVoice.
The UserVoice for Microsoft Teams integration is powered by a connector built specifically to work within Microsoft Teams. Microsoft Teams connectors can be found in the Microsoft Teams App Source.
Connector Setup
-
You can find the app on the Apps store for the Microsoft Teams product here.
Note: it is highly recommended to configure UserVoice in Microsoft Teams on the web, rather than the Teams desktop app - once configured, the App will function in the desktop version! -
If you're outside of the USA, you may need to search for UserVoice.
-
There will be two connectors available. UserVoice for Microsoft Teams and UserVoice (Legacy). UserVoice (Legacy) is a third party built connector that is not supported or maintained by UserVoice. For the best experience, we recommend using the UserVoice for Microsoft Teams connector. Click Add to a team. - If you don't see the integration, you will need to have your Microsoft Teams Admin add it to your organization's app catalog.
-
-
Select the Teams channel you want to stream UserVoice events into, and click Set up a connector.
-
Enter the URL of the UserVoice account that you’ll be streaming events from and click Choose.
-
You will need to log in to UserVoice to authorize this connector to read UserVoice events.
-
Note: This step requires a user with a UserVoice administrator account to complete this process.
-
-
Select the Forums/Categories via the drop down menu, and Events you want to have streamed into the Channel you selected previously.
-
Save the configuration.
-
The connector adds a message in the Teams channel about the successful setup!
You’re done! The events you selected in UserVoice will now be streamed directly into your selected MS Teams channels!
Removing a Configuration
To remove your connection/configuration:
- Open the configuration in Teams. You'll find this in your configured apps.
- Click on the configuration you want to remove.
- Make sure you are signed in to UserVoice. This will make sure the configuration is removed in both Teams, and UserVoice.
- When signed in, click remove.
If you removed a configuration when not signed into UserVoice, confirm it's been removed from Teams, and then remove it from within the UserVoice Admin Console → Settings → Integrations → Microsoft Teams → Click the trash can.
