Sometimes you may need some more horsepower to help you find certain ideas and feedback from your customers. We support the use of common search operators to enable you to filter down your search results.
Use the "plus" symbol, + to search for an idea that contains a word AND another word
By joining your search terms with "+", you can filter your results to see ideas with both search terms included.
admin + notifications
Use the "pipe" symbol, | to search for an idea that contains a word OR another word
By joining your search terms with "|", you can filter your results to see ideas with either search term included. Note: This is the default way we search when multiple terms are present without any operators.
notifications | alerts
is the same as
notifications alerts
Use the "minus" or "hyphen" symbol, - to search for an idea that doesn't contain a word
Use "-" to exclude ideas that contain the search term.
-mobile
Note: When combining negation with another term, you need to use an appropriate AND operator to limit the results, since we default to OR.
-mobile + satisfaction
The above will give you results that contain "satisfaction" and not "mobile.
Use quotes to search for ideas that contain an exact phrase
"export ideas"
Use parentheses to group your search operators
When making more complex searches, you can use parentheses to group expressions together.
(export | reporting | analytics) + features + (-ideas + -suggestions)
